Welcome to my personal webpage!
I am a biologist at the Centro de Astrobiología (CAB), a joint center of INTA and CSIC in Spain. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Complutense University of Madrid . Over the course of my career, I have worked in the Departments of Planetology and Molecular Evolution, serving as a group and laboratory leader and directing my own research team. I have participated in 28 research projects, acting as principal investigator in 9 of them. My current work focuses on the geomicrobiology of terrestrial analogues to investigate planetary habitability and its implications for the astrobiology of icy worlds.
